Hey Trailheads!

Here is the latest from your local mountain bike shop. Spring quickly approaches and I want to be sure you hear about these up-coming events.

In this issue:

1. Trail Work and the sweet coupon we put on the table.
2. Spring Swap Meet
3. Tax Season Sale.
4. The Collective Film’s new movie: SEASONS
5. Races and Rides.

TRAIL WORK & the COUPON

Trailworkers.com has been hugely successful getting folks organized to do the dirt digging our trails need. Trail Head Cyclery wants to take it to eleven by encouraging our riders to put in their time by hooking them up with a sick coupon.

All you have to do is sign up on www.trailworkers.com for a day of trailwork, then print our coupon from our website, here. After a good day of digging dirt and clearing drains the trail work leader will validate your coupon. Easy. And it’s a sweet coupon.

THE COUPON IS 10% OFF ANY FRAME/BIKE & 20% OFF ANY ONE PART

It doesn’t take an engineer to figure out how this can save you hundreds of dollars. It kind of makes doing trail work a no brainer. Let’s build some sweet trails!!

SPRING SWAP MEET

When: Sunday, April 6th, SET-UP starts @ 7am, BUYING starts @ 8 am.
Where: In front of Trail Head Cyclery, on Union Ave.
Why: Turn un-needed bike stuff into cash and see cool bike stuff.
Cost: Free for all buyers, 20 bucks for a selling space.
Rain: Does NOT cancel this event, but makes it FREE for all sellers

This is a super fun day of bike stuff folks. Everybody seems to make a good deal and if you can’t find it at the Swap Meet, THC will make it easy by NOT CHARGING TAX both Saturday and Sunday! Let’s celebrate the end of Tax Season.

TAX SEASON SHOP SALE

That’s right folks, I’m giving our tax man the finger for two days.

NO SALES TAX Saturday & Sunday, April 5th and 6th.

Finally, the guys who changed bike movies forever with their debut ‘The Collective’ and the sequel ‘ROAM’ are about to release another sweet film called ‘SEASONS.’ As you probably guessed, we are hosting the first showing in the USA after Sea Otter! These guys are all about quality events, and we are here to deliver by hosting this film at the beautifully restored Los Gatos High School Theater.

Not only will this be a good time, it is a fundraiser for the LGHS MTB Team and we’ll have loads of items to RAFFLE. Tickets will go on sale April 1st at Trail Head Cyclery.

What: World Tour Showing of ‘Seasons’ by The Collective
Where: Los Gatos High School Theater
When: Friday, April 25th, 8 p.m. doors @ 7 p.m.
Cost: $10/adults, $5 students w/ ID
Note: There are only 420 seats, get your tickets early.

Napa Valley Dirt Classic, April 13th

This is a wicked fun cross country course at the beautiful Pacific Union College. 22 mile course with lots and lots of singletrack. Good times here

Sea Otter Classic, April 17th through the 20th

Folks, this is the largest race in America, second in the world behind the Tour de France. It is in our beautiful coastal back yard of Monterey. This is a must go. If not to race, watch and learn. I can’t tell you how mesmerizing it is to watch rippers like Cedric Gracia and Jared Graves pin it on the Dual Slalom. Amazing. Dirt jumps, ladder stunts, crazy fast short track cross country, Downhill, a wicked expo and the now Olympic sport, BMX. Oh, there’ll be a lot of road bikes too I hear. Visit www.seaotterclassic.com and get stoked.

Check out the site for all the details, but I’ll remind you that race #1 is here in California. Fontana to be exact, Fontucky for those who have been. This is the real deal. http://www.usacycling.org/nmbs/

Yessir, you can pay money to ride your bike all day and all night and all day again. We do this race on our single speeds, so it can’t be that hard… May 3rd is at Laguna Seca. Check the details out here

Also on May 3rd is another way to burn yourself out, only it’s near Auburn, CA. I hear it’s a super good time, plus they raise a lot of money to fight cancer. Which is cool. Check it all out here

I can’t list every race, so check this site out for more: http://www.ncnca.org/mtb/

Yes, this is the end of my news blast. Thank you all for your continued support of Trail Head Cyclery! Let’s go ride!
