Howdy Trailheads!

Talk about a fast summer. Where did that go? Oh yea, dozens of local rides, trips to Downieville, Tahoe and Colorado, working hard to play hard and spending time with the family. Good times for sure. I want to say thanks to you all for helping to keep Trail Head on the up and up by bringing us your business. Thank you!

I have some great news to share with you all, plus some events you’ll want to put on your calendar.

1. We’re moving!
2. Huge incentives to buy our bikes, which now includes Santa Cruz!
3. Spooky Swap Meet, 2008.
4. Fall Dirt Demo.

We’re moving,

But not far. Next to Bank of America here in the Plaza is a store called Bob’s Golf. This store is hard to miss as it is one of the most prominent spaces in the Plaza with a high pitched roofline and huge windows that for now say GOLF. Guess what letters I plan to put in that window? Hmm, how about BIKE? We get to start working on the space this January, so expect us to be running back and forth a lot and hosting a big ‘ol grand opening in March. The original store will be open during the build out, but don’t be surprised if I have to close the shop a few days in February. Now, as you know, I’ve got a lot of stuff, and I really don’t want to move it all. So, I’m going to be having a series of sales leading up to the move, starting now.

Bikes for less,

Is what you can expect right now at Trail Head. I’ve got sweet bikes that are marked way down, plus huge rebates to sweeten the deal even more! Here’s an example. Buy a Santa Cruz Nomad and save over $400 off the list price AND get a rebate worth $250. Pretty sweet. We have all kinds of bikes on sale. First come first served, so don’t wait or they’ll be gone. We’re heading into my favorite riding season when the temps cool down a bit, scattered showers tamp down the dust and the lighting is just perfect. So come on down and score a sweet deal from your local bike shop. Please, we can’t move everything…

Spooky Swap Meet, 2008 is the Sunday before Halloween, October 26th.

Once again, it’s time to empty your storage of bike stuff you don’t need anymore so you can replace it with stuff you do need. Or something like that. Same format as we always use. We’ll set up next to Union Ave in front of the shop and keep it simple, easy, cheap and fun! Buyers shop for FREE as always, sellers get a big ‘ol space for $20. $10 rebates to sellers who have real costumes, and you know we’ll be dressed as pirates again. It’s just too fun talking like one!

Storewide Sale on the Swap Meet weekend, October 24th, 25th and 26th.

Receive at least 10% off all in stock parts, accessories and even bikes that weekend. Discounts are cumulative, so if a jacket is already marked 40% off, you’ll save 50%. Nice. Or an `08 Fox fork that is currently 15% off will be 25% off. Sick. But now for something completely different…

`08 Demo Bikes will be sold that weekend.

It will be time for us to rotate our 2008 bikes and make space for the `09 fleet. These bikes are sold with 90 days of service and no warranty and no tax. Get ‘em while they last!

Dirt Demo, Santa Teresa County Park, November 8th & 9th.

I really love Santa Teresa as the trails are sweet, diverse and relatively short. That means more people get to ride more bikes, and we’re going to have a ton of bikes there by Specialized, Yeti, Intense, Ibis and Santa Cruz! This is a FREE event and we will have lots of food and drinks, so mark your calendar now for November 8th and 9th.

Huge thanks to all who read this far down the page, and I hope to see you soon!
