Hey all you Trail
Heads!
Spring has sprung, now how 'bout you? Yes, I have kids and that is a line
from music class:-) But I like it! Spring is in full swing and we have
some great events to talk about. For starters, we are celebrating our
10th anniversary. Yup, my Dad and I opened yesterday, April 1997, just
him and I and a bunch of dreams. Thanks to tons of hard work, loyal customers
like you, great staff and a bunch of luck we are still peddling bikes
and a whole lot more! To celebrate the last 10 years we have a party planned
and would like to invite you to come help us eat some great food and drink
some tasty beverages.
The 10th Anniversary party is scheduled for Saturday,
May 26th!
We've got lunch and dinner planned out with a phat BBQ putting out quality
food and all the latest movies on a big screen. Lunch starts at noon and
goes until 7 pm. Shimano will be supporting us with a keg of our favorite
beer, Racer #5 IPA from the excellent brewer's at Bear Republic in Heald,
Ca. Plus, our excellent representatives Andrew Kempe and Mark Hubble of
Shimano are sponsoring us with another keg, this one from Anderson Valley.
A tasty Boont Amber Ale, not quite as hoppy as the Racer #5, very smooth
and a little too easy to drink lots of... We'll also have a big brew of
Sun Tea going and cold water from Calistoga for those who did not ride
a bike to the shop...
10th Anniversary Sale
SALE pricing is in order as well, so plan on saving 10% off original prices
on any purchases starting this weekend, May 12th, in time for Mother's
Day, and going through the rest of May!!! We have placed no limitations
on this sale, so everything is game. Stale items that have been marked
down for a while will be eligible for an additional 10% discount, while
other items will just plain be on the cutting block! The cutting block
will have lots of great clothes and gear, plus some hydraulic brakes,
Kevlar tires, wheels, rims, hubs, forks, shocks and even some frames.
We can't stay open another 10 years with those prices though, so be sure
to take advantage of this month. The 10th Anniversary Sale ends when May
does!
10th Anniversary Raffle
We felt like having a little fun. So, we're setting a fresh set of Shimano
XTR Brakes aside for one lucky customer who buys a bike before the party,
Saturday 26th when we'll pull the lucky ticket. So wait, how do you get
a ticket? Simple, just buy any adult bike or frame from us in the next
couple of weeks. To make it fair, we decided to give away one ticket for
each sale under a grand while those emptying their wallets even more will
get another chance to win with each additional thousand spent. Confused?
I am. Example A: Buy a Rockhopper Comp, spend 882.50 after tax and the
sale discount and you've got a ticket. Example B: Buy the Yeti 575 Enduro
kit for $2430+tx and you've got two tickets. Now it's getting good...
How 'bout the Stumpjumper Expert that's on sale for $2970 + tx, which
puts it over three grand, and you've got three tickets. The Ibis Mojo
in Nuclear Pesto Green with the XT kit, four something and four tickets.
Don't you just love where this is going? I'm think'n grab the Fresh Intense
5.5 FRO frame, put a Float RLC on the front, build out some King Hubs
with Ti Spokes and custome painted 819's, dress her up in the new M975
XTR, some Easton CNT bars, Thomson stem and post, a WTB Shadow V Saddle
and hmmm, a 2.1 exiwolf in the rear and a 2.3 Wierwolf up front. Now we're
talkin! I'd have to do the math, but that's a lot of tickets... Thanks
for playing our game everybody and good luck!

Shop Rides
We ride a lot. I wish I could say we always ride on the same days and
times, but with so many of us racing, raising children and our shop hours,
it just isn't possible. That said, we'd love to invite you on our rides.
I am putting together a calendar to mark down who's riding and when so
others can join in the fun! We invite you to visit or call the shop to
hook up with others who want to ride. We love to ride early on Sundays,
if we are not racing, and scattered days through the week. Some in the
early morning, some in the evening, some with lights. So come on in, check
out the calendar, and let's ride!
A big Thank You All for helping Trail Head Cyclery get off the ground,
pick up speed and carry it into our 11th year. Our dreams have been realized
and nary a day goes by we don't wonder at how lucky we are to have Trail
Head and great customers like you to share the passion with. Please try
to make it down to the shop on Saturday the 26th for all the fun, and
don't miss out on our specials through May 31st! Here's wishing a happy
Mother's Day to all the mom's out there, especially the ones supporting
their crazy kids in this sport! And again, a huge Thanks from all of us
here at Trail Head Cyclery.
