Lars and Karen Thomsen gave Photo John from mtbr.com his first opportunity to capture Downhill Tandem racers on film, just as they shoot the G-out up high on Bucher's Ranch in Downieville. Check out those trees in the back! Lars later told us how incredible the tracking is on that Ventana El Conquistador de Montanas. "Just hang on to the locomotive and she'll pull you through..." Must be true with a winning time of 1:04.36. Let's hear it for the nitrous booster in the stoker position, eh!
