IMBA epic at Henry Coe State park   Posted October 2003

On Sept. 20-21, ROMP hosted an IMBA Epic in Henry Coe State Park. Day one was a typically hot, brutal Coe ride. Day two was trail work. Why would people who get their butts kicked by the Bay Area's toughest spot come back the next day to massage the trails? It's the love, baby.
  • Miles of trail brushed out: 7
  • Miles of ride: 24, with bailouts
  • Feet of climbing: 5,000
  • Low temp: 41 degrees
  • High temp: 105 degrees (Hey, it's Coe!)

  • Number who took the sag wagon: 8
  • Super heroes who finished the whole thing: 14
  • Accidents: 0
  • Burritos: 70+
