SANBORN MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDE, Sept 12th

Yes, you are reading this correctly. This rare opportunity is just a taste of what is to come! Soon there will be legal riding through Sanborn on the Bay Area Ridge Trail and this September 12th we are invited to get a sneek pre-ride, complete with a shuttle, as long as we register in advance. We also need to kick down some cash to help finish the connection to Montivina and Mt. Baldwin. More...

Dirt Demo this weekend!

WHEN: May 9th and 10th, 9am until 3pm
WHERE: Santa Teresa County Park directions here
WHAT: Sweet bikes to ride on awesome trails or roads. (yes, we'll have road bikes too!)
COST: FREE
BRING: Credit Cards and Drivers Licenses are required to demo a bike. Pack your normal ride gear, Rock Ridge is well, rocky. Many tubes have died there. And if you can, bring your pedals. That way, there is no way any of us can tell you we don't have pedals for your bike. Sure, we'll have some pedals, but we usually run out.

Directions to Santa Teresa County Park
Santa Teresa County Park is located at the southern end of the Santa Teresa Hills. The park may be accessed from either Almaden Valley or Santa Clara Valley. From Santa Clara Valley, take US 101 or Highway 85 to the Bernal Road exit. Proceed west 1.3 miles on Bernal Road and cross Santa Teresa Boulevard toward the Santa Teresa Hills. Bernal Road continues past the park's Santa Teresa Golf Club, winding up into the hills. The Pueblo Day Use Area is located off Bernal Road in a small open valley in the hills. (This is where we will have the Demo set up) Limited parking and trailhead access are available from Almaden Valley. From San Jose, follow Almaden Expressway until it ends. Turn right onto Harry Road, then turn left onto McKean Road. Travel approximately 1.3 miles to Fortini Road. Turn left onto Fortini Road toward the Santa Teresa Hills. At the end of Fortini Road, turn left onto San Vicente Avenue. A ten car parking area is located on the right about 500 feet from Fortini Road. Public transit is available to Santa Teresa County Park.

Hi Trail Heads,

If you haven't had a chance to see the new store, please do. We are all moved in and the place is shaping up nicely. It's been a huge undertaking and so unfortunately, we are going to need to push our big grand re-opening to Aprill 11th. More details will follow on the re-opening party but if you do come out this weekend you'll see much of the same juicy discounts meant for the re-opening. Plus you'll save with the lesser sales tax that's going to go up on April 1st. In addition we are having the Swap Meet this Sunday.

Just a reminder we are in the same plaza. 14390 Union right on the corner of Camden and Union. here

Thanks for your support.

This past week has been so hectic trying to get ourselves into the new place. This heavy rain put an extra twist to the mix. Huge props to everyone who has pulled through some long hours to make it happen. Gordy & Cisco for our electrical, Kevin for our trick new alarm and network system. Some of our supliers who came out to lend a hand Mike from Six Six One and Drew from Specialized, and Scott from Wilson. Can't forget the crew Blair and Scott building new work benches. Brian crafty with with whatever. Stewart coming in on his days off. Nick, Jeff, Kyle, Matt, Phil, Karen, Big John, and myself just doing whatever it takes to get it done and keep Lars from going bonkers.

Thank you all for you patience during this transition. We just got our phone and network going today. We are not entirely moved in but by the weekend we should be a lot better.

Our new store

We got the keys to our new location a week ago and Lars has spared no time, lining up contractors, as well as ripping out the carpet and tile. I'm really looking forward that shower that is being put in addition to not being so crammed. Kyle had a nice blister from ripping out tile. I'll try and get some pictures of the progress soon.

Update Jan 29th Alot of electrical work, plumbing, refinishing of the floor going on. We did get our new signage, I'll get some updated pics on here soon.

Update Jan 9th a write up Lars made for ROMP's newsletter-here

Thanks to all for helping make the Seasons movie premiere at Los Gatos High School last friday a great success.

With everyone's help we were able to raise $2300 which all
went to benefit the Los Gatos High School's cycling team.

We also had a moment of silence to rember our bro Mark Reynolds of Wicked Racin

Good movie, some lucky people went home with schwag, and
a cycling team gets some love.

Just a reminder as it may not be well known but Trail Head Cyclery honors a 10% discount on parts and accessories to all students with a valid student I.D.

Bushing Play?
Aside from Fox forks and a very few number of fork service centers across the nation we maybe the only bike shop tooled up to replace Fox fork bushings in house. Cool!!!

Just came back from Interbike in the "Sin City". A big thanks to Adam, Jen, Brian, Colin, Victor, Scott, and Big John who stayed back and held down the fort while we were gone. Expect a report from Lars soon. That Ibis Mojo SL made me drool, oh my. Another notable impressive stand out was a belt drive system that Spot Brand bikes were sporting.
